Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
We had informative presentations with associates and partners from each department within the firm, ad-hoc tasks for our supervisor throughout the day as well formal assessments in the form of drafting a settlement agreement, giving commercial presentation and drafting an advisory note on warranties and indemnity
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
They gave us very comprehensive presentations about the different departments and teams in the firm and what trainees', associates' and partners' responsibilities are, what their day-to-day worklife looks like as well as the opportunities for career development in each team.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
Yes, I learned how about how law firms work as businesses and how different departments within the firm interact with one another to give comprehensive solutions to clients' legal and commercial problems. I further developed my legal research skills, legal drafting as well as legal analysis.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The atmosphere within the firm was extremely friendly, people were very keen to meet up over zoom coffees and lunches to discuss their work as well as just have a friendly chat. There was a genuine open door policy which meant that I was very easily able to reach out to people outside of my supervisors' teams and learn about the practice areas that I was interested in.
