Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
Delivering a project to connect Product Sales Managers to Accounting bodies around the country, rolling out a new feature on existing products. Creating a roadmap of the delivery of projects as well as liaising with relevant persons to set up demo webinars for early adopters and setting up a focus group as as form of receiving feedback.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I enjoy the actual aspect of role as I am absorbing and learning a great amount, in a safe and patient environment. I feel I have time to be able to understand processes and products fully but also connect wth colleagues for additional information and support

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I have learned to become more confident, working on creating a one pager of presentations. Using Models such as McKinsey's 7 S's to do a deep dive on the company.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
I would say the apprenticeship programme itself is very structured and organised giving you an overview per quarter of what one will be covering and learning. My actual role is very well structured, weekly hours spent with my manager who also acts as my mentor to walk through my goals, projects and next steps. I think it could be better if my manager had an overview of the apprenticeship prior me starting and being able to perhaps mould my role/work around some of what is being covered or vice versa, allowing the two to sync.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I receive a great amount of support from my employer. Any queries or doubts I had, I was able to speak about it without anxiety. I can also speak openly about my experience whether positive or negative, it is a very supported environment whom only want and work towards the experience to be of value to me and not the other way around.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
A lot. My trainer holds weekly webinars, where i meet with other members on the course as he covers a topic/model as well as answer any questions. I also am able to contact him whenever I need support and have a monthly 1-1 with him
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
It allows me to assess how much I am in fact learning as time goes and to an extent articulate myself a little better. It also assists me in using the correct wording and processes as well as learning about such things on a broader view rather than just how such a model operates within my company.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
There are quiet a few which I am a member of including an innovation group which I am very excited about.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Sage (UK) Ltd to a friend?
Yes
Why?
I have worked at many companies and never have I been in an environment that is so supportive and patient. The first weeks of being onboarded was very organised and allowed all us newbies connect with another and learn about the company, meet existing employees ad learn about varied functionalities at the same pace which helped remove any nervousness. The company also offers a vast amount of self learning courses etc
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Sage (UK) Ltd?
To not be afraid to ask any questions you may have. The company are very open and transparent and will do their best to answer and assist you in any way possible and to just apply! There are ample amounts of career and learning opportunities here, and no matter how old, experienced or educated are job titles do not matter. Everyone is equal, approachable and respectful
