Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
As a Business Change Apprentice, I create training and learning materials for new tools in the business as well as writing and creating communications via email and other channels. This includes a monthly newsletter as well as managing, planning and coordinating our departments monthly All Hands meeting alongside the VP of Business Transformation.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I thoroughly enjoy my programme and the people I work with are a big contributor to this. The role and programme are fun and creative and every day is different. I am given autonomy and respect and I am trusted to complete my work to a good standard. The job and content of the programme is also interesting

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have learned video editing and creation, how to manage my own time effectively, scheduling and planning through outlook, how to use Powerpoint professionally and create the best designs and decks using the tools provided, how to work with and manage stakeholders, the importance of change management, the cycle of change

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
My programme is well organised but we also have a lot of freedom in our learning. I have access to a learning zone where all the content is available for whenever I wish to complete it. It is set out weekly and has resources applicable to the task that week. I also have a monthly tutorial with my tutor who can help me with anything I may be struggling with
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I am very supported by my employer, my line manager and my whole team in general. Everyone is willing to help and they encourage me to ask questions when I may be struggling with something. My apprenticeship time to complete my work is fully protected and they encourage me to take all my time and ensure I have what's needed to complete it
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
My apprenticeship time to complete my work is fully protected and they encourage me to take all my time, focus on that aside from my day to day job whilst im in that college time and ensure I have what's needed to complete it and to a good standard.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
My qualification is PR and communications and a lot of my role is communications, creating them, sending them and tracking the stats. PR helps me in my role as I work on a lot of projects which have similar features to a PR plan so it has helped me in understanding the end to end process.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
There is lots to get involved in at Sage, including Sage Foundation where we get 5 days a year to give back and help charities and organisations. There's also lots of colleague groups to join such as pride@sage and ability@sage as well as events such as Christmas and summer parties.

Yes
Why?
The company culture is unlike so many businesses. People are supported in their role and there is always a chance to progress and network, even move around the company if needed. The people at Sage are so supportive too and friendly and everyone is willing to help each other succeed.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Sage (UK) Ltd?
To know that a lot of the time the most important thing they're looking for is the type of person you are so be yourself, open to activities and questions, friendly as this will stand out to them. Take time to research Sage, what we do and what we're involved in to show an interest in the job and company
