Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
I am resourcing candidates for our Operational teams, coaching and consulting them on recruitment issues.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
I think the programme was quite to a satisfactory level. A bit of face to face interaction would be great but due to covid that was not an option. Potentially seminars and peer meetings would be a good way to interact and network.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Yes, a lot of HR skills and knowledge around L&D, engagement, employment law and recruitment.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
The time frames were sufficient for the projects but potentially there should be more structure and a more of a break down approach to assessments so you don't fall behind and try to do everything at the end (assessment week). Open each sub-unit once completed and then put it together as a whole at the end of the unit.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
I was supported through the process by my line managers and when I asked for insight from other teams they were happy to provide it. Potentially building in some tasks to each unit that would require you to go and actively seek info and insight from various HR departments, in my case.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
They were always there when I asked questions. Most of times they came with sufficient info or actions to resolve any queries.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
I got promoted and I have a better understanding of my role as an HR professional within a large organisation.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
3/5
There are some social activities that happen but not very often.

Would you recommend Whitbread plc to a friend?
Yes
Why?
A great place to work. A people place. There are some exceptional people working here and it's just making sure you make the most out of the opportunities given and ask for them when they arise.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Whitbread plc?
