Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I’m enjoying my role of been an apprentice in Superdrug. On a day to day basic I help with work on tills, working delivery, facing the products at the end of the day etc.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I’m loving my time there. I have an amazing team around me that help and support me when needed, I do have days where I struggle but I always get through them.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I’ve learnt many new skills so far such as how to work the tills, learning how to use the HHT, put stock out on the shelves properly.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

I try to do an hour training every week depending on how busy the store is or if they need me on the till. If i don’t get my training done I get given the time to catch up.

How much support do you receive from your employer?

I always receive help from my Manger or Assistant Manger wether it’s with my online apprenticeship training or anything I need advised on the shop floor.

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

My assessor always gives me help with my training if im struggling on a question or have a miss understanding.

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I’m learning extra information about retail whilst doing my training which is good as I want to become a team leader after my apprenticeship and knowing more information is helpful for when i want to move on to bigger job roles.

Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

I’ve been given the responsibility to look after the makeup stands in the store which require cleaning the stands, tidying the draws, buying the testers for the makeup etc.
