Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
The role involves support Relationship Managers in providing asset finance to customers within their portfolios. This involves liaising with customers, suppliers and different internal departments. On a day to day basis, I prepare quotations, deal with customer queries and prep handovers which include details on deals so they can get documented.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I enjoy my programme as I am learning while gaining practical workplace experience and earning money. This has allowed me to build my experience in the finance and banking industry and network with more experienced colleagues and understand their career path and choices. I enjoy communication with colleagues and customers.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Yes I have learnt and developed upon many skills. These are important transferrable skills which I can use throughout my career. My communication skills have improved as I am constantly presenting and in discussion with colleagues and customers. In addition to this, my problem solving skills have developed as I have faced many challenges.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
My programme is organised, however i believe it could be more structured in terms of the workplace and apprenticeship provider being more co-aligned and understanding of the apprentice. Other than that, I have support from both the workplace and learning provider which allows me to be organized and understand what needs to be done and when.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
3/5
I receive a good amount of support from my employer as they allow me to have study hours when requested and at times ask me how my apprenticeship and learning is going which shows support. It would be more beneficial if the employer and the learning provider were more co-aligned and linked together.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
I receive sufficient amount of support from the learning provider. We have sessions like webinars, banking coach catch up calls and contacts we can get in touch with if we have any difficulties. This could be more better if the training provider and employer were more co-aligned and in regular conversation.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
I believe that the qualification through my training provider helps me to perform better throughout my role as it provides me with the knowledge and theory which I can then implement in the workplace. It allows me to provide input in discussions both internally and externally which displays my enthusiasm and knowledge.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
Yes, there are many societies and extra-curricular activities available throughput the organization to get involved with. For example, I sometimes engage within the Diversity & Inclusion event and council. There are so many options and the people are welcoming and provide you with a good understanding and help you when needed.
