Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
Supporting Brand Manager. Creating social media posts, working with external agencies to create campaigns, data reporting and looking at website development.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I really enjoy my programme. Although challenging at first, I've quickly learnt a lot about the business and really enjoy learning more. I love being creative and owning a project to be proud of the outcome

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
Yes definitely! Learnt how to use google and Instagram analytics, learnt how to communicate with external agencies, how to create social media decks and conduct an analysis. I've also learnt how to create google campaigns.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
The first few days were structured well. Due to this being the only year of digital marketing, improvements could be made. It would be better if basic things such as pensions, payslips, holiday and more admin things could be explained at the beginning.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I receive a lot of support from my manager, teaching me day to day the basics of marketing as well as supporting on projects I work on. I get a lot of support from the university, who do weekly check ins and always answer emails promptly.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
A lot of support from the university. I have weekly class check ins and bi-monthly one to one check ins. They answer emails quickly and answer any question you have.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
I think without going to university, I wouldn't know a lot about day to day working. I find when I learn at university, it clears up a lot about what's going on in work, and helps me understanding the things I do better.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
3/5
Our team have work-dinners every once in a while as well as eat lunch together when in office. However, because things are just opening up, I've not had the opportunity to join these events.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Nestlé to a friend?
Yes
Why?
I think it's a great company to learn from. There's so many opportunities within each sector that you wouldn't get from a small company. Everyone's always willing to help.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Nestlé?
That it's best to move closer, you get a much better experience working in office rather than at home.
