Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
3/5
I am currently learning the process at my factory which includes all the safety standards and standard operating procedures. I attend the daily meetings to help reduce cost and increase output on the machines at my factory. I am also part of the communications team in my factory and workplace
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
2/5
I moderately enjoy my program but i believe it will get better the more involved i get with different projects across the factory, at the moment i am slowly learning skills that will benefit me in the future and im excited to put these skills into practise when my role develops.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
3/5
I have began to understand the way working life works as before this role i was at school. I have learnt how to meet deadlines effectively and how to communicate with those who i dont kn ow to the best of my ability. I have also learnedf the top losses on my asset.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
The learning side of my apprenticeship is well structured however early on in my program i was left with not much to do and often had to fill in my own days with jobs that might not have been that beneficial. It is getting more interesting as time goes on.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
2/5
I receive lots of support from my employer and m,y line manager, my manager always does check ups on me to check im developing well and that everything is alright within my self. I have also been given full support to get involved with what ever i can at work.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
I am allowed to spend one day a week or the equivalent of this working on my uni work, and every couple of months i am allowed a week off to go down to my uni campus and work towards the qualifications i should eventually achieve through the apprenticeship im on.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
So far i dont believe they contribute to my daily work life, but i have only really done the introduction course so its still early days. I think as time goes on the skills i learn at uni will transfer over to my work at nestle and help better my career.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
2/5
There arent really any extra activities to get involved in at work, i am part of the health and wellness team and went on a 2 day training course to become a mental health advocate so i can now work with those in my workplace to bring health and wellness in.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Nestlé to a friend?
Yes
Why?
Nestle is a friendly environment and there is plenty of room for moving up within the business. There are many locations across the uk Ireland and even internationally if ever anyone wanted a change scenery and nestle seem very happy to accommodate these needs and help those who want to go as far as they can with the company.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Nestlé?
Use lots of examples when in an interview stage and try to express how much you want TO MOVE UP WITHIN THE BUSINESS AS NESTLE WANT PEOPLE TO COME IN AND DEVELOP SKILLS THAT WILL HELP EVENTUALLY run a business and contribute to reducing losses in terms of profits and unplanned stops on machines.
