Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My role is an apprentice sakes advisor. From day to day I complete many different tasks such as zero to zeros on the hht and general tasks in store such as offering customers help and advice, offering baskets, filling shelves, facing up, till work, customer service work and work with cosmetics.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I absolutely loved completing the apprenticeship with superdrug because it has definitely improved me as a person. It has boosted my skills and my confidence. I have absolutely loved getting to know what the company is about and its background and all thr different roles within the company. I love it !

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

From completing my apprenticeship with superdrug, I have most definitely learnt more and new skills as well as developing skills I already had. Completing the apprenticeship definitely improved my confidence as well as my communication skills as i communicate on a daily basis in my job. I have learnt new technical skills with doing my apprenticeship.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The apprenticeship programme is very well organised because you have many online booklets to complete which is laid out very well on sunsies to easly find them. Your are provided with physical booklets to complete as well as a tablet to complete all your work and research on. You then have monthly calls with your assessor to discuss your progress.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

While completing the apprenticeship, I received an amazing amount of support within superdrug from my assessor, my manager, and the rest of the team. You was always given your weekly hour to complete your work and they would always offer support if you needed any help with your online booklets and physical booklets.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

While working towards my qualifications, I received a huge amount of support from My assessor and my team within superdrug because they would always be there to help answer and questions you had and if you was struggling they would always give you support. My assessor would always be friendly.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I feel like my qualification has helped me improve within my role as the further I got into my apprentiship and the more I learnt, I felt much more confident about my tasks and learning new tasks on the shop floor. Doing the qualification had gave me a chance to learn new things you wouldn't learn everyday.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

While completing my apprenticeship at superdrug, I was given the opportunity to become the stores social media ambassador. This means I was in charge of all social media platforms, instagram, Facebook and tiktok. I would upload any content which provided information on which services we provide in store and any new products or offers we have in store.

Why?
I would most definitely recommend a friend to complete an apprenticeship with superdrug because it's such a full on learning programme as you get so much out of it. It's an amazing company to work for with so many benefits along the line and everyone is so friendly too.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Superdrug?
To anyone applying to superdrug, I would give them the advice to just be their selves everyday because it really brings the confidence out in you. I would give them a tip to always keep up on their learning even outside work because it definitely benefits you in the long run.
