Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
Coaching/leading/developing colleagues to build a higher performing team. Issuing purchase orders. Updating compliance register of tools so all equipment is compliant/safe. Working under tight guidelines to meet over 350 branch's needs. Use of ODAS for matching/passing invoices for suppliers. Understanding/generating company Daily Sales/ Stats.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
The more the programme went on I enjoyed it more. My confidence grew and found that I was speaking up more within team meetings as well as sessions with my mentor. I will continue using the skills I have learnt within my programme going forward and pass to my team,

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have learnt to delegate more as this not only helps myself to focus on higher prioritising tasks that require my assistance. I've realised that delegating can also assist in the progression of my team and to also continue undertaking those tasks if I'm absent for any reason.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
The programme structure was well planned. From the start our mentor/facilitator went through introductions for those on the programme. All sessions were booked in advance for the year through calendar invites. Support was there 100% from my team, manager, and director allowing me to concentrate on my programme throughout.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
My manager said from the start support is always there and allowed time for me to concentrate on my programme. Setting time aside with regular catch ups with both my manager and mentor gave me any additional support or assistance required which I really appreciated. The support was always there.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
My mentor helped me massively, not only with any modules but with the revision for my maths and english exams I had to take. Providing me with past papers/websites for additional revision which I asked about to get me ready for those exams. I can't thank her enough.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
I feel it has helped me to feel more confident in my own decision making which I put to use on daily basis. I also take pride in coaching/guiding my team and both are now undertaking apprenticeships themselves to which I'm proud of. I'm know there support.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
I have taken part in a charity event, tough mudder along with other colleagues for Macmillan. I take part in regular webinars with numerous suppliers to build my knowledge. Out of work I enjoy going to the gym and taking part in gym classes to improve my health and wellbeing.
