Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My job role is a housekeeper, this involves cleaning departed rooms to a high standard and makes if requested. Always do the strip,sanitiz, set up method that is required for covid 19 reasons, always be polite to all guest and staff, and complete all training courses fully on academy on line .
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I am enjoying my program very much learning all about one of my job roles housekeeper and also about the history of premier inn Whitbread and the journey we go through , also the different laws , confidentiality, equality, sales body language, eye contact, dress code and further training to go higher up.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes I am now learning Reception which I am enjoying for much , meeting all different guest , always polite to them and solving solutions that good pop up each day . Learning all about Bart and how to check in a guest and going that extra mile to please the guest helps out sales for premier in , breakfast is one of our main selling points as well.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

My program is well organised and structured, my tutor [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the Higherin Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] is always there if I don’t understand any thing or need help, she really goes above and beyond to help answer or explain my course work that I may not understand properly, she’s very supportive, I really am looking forward to passing my exams
How much support do you receive from your employer?

My employer gives me plenty of support with my course work and training on the job in both house keepers and reception, with on line academy course’s as well especially if I am not understanding them correctly, excellent attitude to us for improving to go further in our jobs with premier inn
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I get lots of help from my trainer who will explain stuff to me properly when I not understand it correctly, helps me on understanding what work I need to do more of and is always there either by email or phone call , goes above and beyond to help you further your training.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Helps me understand how to do my job correctly, on what is expected of us and how to be with guests also understand computer (Bart) and how premier inn support equity for all different religions and backgrounds, sexuality, once always offering more training to improve your understanding of job roles you may do
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes we support each other by doing team building work helps bound together and understand each other a bit better builds the relationship between teams a lot better, I am a big believer in team work helping each other out at all times, we socialise by having meals out together or doing something together for Gosh

Why?
It a fantastic company to work for , in the pandemic my employees help me through it by me covering on nights as a caretaker and for my mental health this was a massive help to me , it kept me going at difficult times the support I received from my company was and still is fantastic, I will always be grateful for this
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Whitbread plc?
Always be honest and helpful and straight with the company give your best the company will help you to achieve and grow in what job role you wish to go higher in . They support you where you need it more just speak to your line manager and other colleagues for help
