Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Manage and process revalidation for 4000+ doctors across the South West, liaise with stakeholders, website maintenance, day to day line management of a colleague, buddy system, communications, assessment preparation and execution for approx 450 trainees, management and maintenance of a number of different spreadsheets, dealing with queries.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I had an excellent time with this apprenticeship - I had an excellent tutor in [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the Higherin Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions], the process was excellent and I thought the support was very good. It fit in with my work very well.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have developed my Microsoft office skills to a much higher level and am much more comfortable with Excel.

I received plenty of support from my employer to complete my apprenticeship.

The support from my tutor and training provider was excellent when working towards my qualification.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I think the work I did during my qualification fit in very well with my work and I felt like it supplemented my day to day work and allowed me to upskill constantly.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There are extra-curricular activities at my work and I also volunteer as a Foundation Governor for a primary school near Weston-Super-Mare

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to NHS?
I would suggest applying for everything that takes your interest and even if you don't have all of the essential criteria, giving it a try and highlighting relevant experience.
