Finance Intern Review

My role involved processing invoices, preparing payruns many other miscellaneous tasks to help out the department. It involved communicating with the whole department, giving me exposure to how a fast-paced finance department operates. It also involved reconciliation and management of key balance sheet codes and preparing the monthly commercial pack

Yes i was given a lot of responsibility throughout my placement year. which made me feel valued at the company and made me feel like the work i was doing made an impact on the company as a whole. This further encouraged me to complete my work at a high standard

I have improved on my time management as there were many deadlines to adhere to. I also improved my communication skills as i was constantly communicating with all members of the department. I have learnt many financial skills such as how to accrue and prepay expenses, how to familiarise myself with accounting terminology and how to prepare a monthly balance sheet

I supported it greatly as my collegues were always open and available to any of my queries whenever i needed help. Whenever i was struggling with my work someone would always be on hand to help out

I really enjoyed the culture and atmosphere. The people there were really fun to be around and made it very enjoyable to come to work

I really enjoyed my placement year. I learnt many skills and really enjoyed the people i worked with. I always think back to my placement year and what a great opportunity that was for me.
