I work in a team who supports admission avoidance and discharge to assess patients to maintain their safety and progression away from an acute environment.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoy my level 5 degree in health and social care as each unit I can take back my learning skills within my own role and enhance better patient/family outcomes.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes I am always learning new communication skills, therapy skills involving physiotherapy and occupational therapy and basic nursing components.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

Its structured very well and we are kept well informed with changes and pandemic rules and regulations.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive a brilliant amount of support from the careers development team and my employer/line manager and supervisor. I feel very lucky.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I receive adequate amount of support to enhance my training/outcomes.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I feel it really has been a great opportunity to increase my knowledge base to give my patients a better understanding of their current needs and future prospects.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

this has been restricted due to covid19 but its a very animal friendly team who likes to walk their dogs. We use whatsapp for communication outside of work & are looking at outside activities for team bonding within the summer.
