Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
Each day is different in my role and depends on the area you are in. Day to day roles can include travel booking, sending emails, training booking, approving timesheets, ordering stationery, distributing resources. However, this can differ and your team or manager will give you different roles depending on the needs.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I do enjoy my programme and the opportunities I have within it. Within the business, there are many people to meet and network with. As well as this, we work as teams to complete apprentice projects which helps our development. The company is also great as it tries its best to look after all employees.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have learned many new skills. For example; travel booking, stationery orders. As well as general skills like using Microsoft outlook, word, excel. Helpful hints and tips for IT. Furthermore, with this being my first time in a work place I have developed many communication skills as well as professionalism.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
The programme is organised. We are aware of when we will move placements and can ask questions to find out any information we are unsure of. As well as this, we move to different areas of the business where we will learn new skills and gain different insights to the business.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
3/5
I have monthly 1 to 1s with my apprentice manager where we check in, I can also go to the team if I have any issues in between. The company are also very good at displaying where you can go for support if you needed any. If I wanted to embark on any additional training, my employer would give me time to do so.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
2/5
With my college assessor, we have regular phone calls/in person catch ups, around once every two months. If I have any questions with any assignments in the mean time, I can email my assessor and she will give me the support required. If something I submit does not meet the requirements, I am made aware of this along with what I need to do to improve it.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
1/5
The skills I am learning in the apprenticeship allows me to give the examples and demonstrations required for my college work. We have also completed workbooks and reading which gives us tips with how to handle different scenarios. As part of the apprenticeship, we have also taken part in different training courses.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
3/5
The company have a variety of networks which you can get involved in to support what you believe in and to allow you to meet more people within the company. Depending on the placement you are in, some will hold social events between the team to get the team together.
