Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
as a Business Manager at Reed in Partnership, I lead and manage a team of 10 to 12 Employment Advisers who provide support to participants referred by the Job Centre to us to find work. My responsibility is to ensure that the targets are achieved or exceeded by the Team. I also train the EAs, organize coaching session and ensure that they are comfortable with their tasks and with the office environment
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
The programmable was very enjoyable. I learnt a lot of new things in leadership and Management. I improve my knowledge in these areas: How to motivate people to improve performance, Plan and manage change, create a culture of innovation, Learn effective communication skills (negotiation, networking, building relationships• Use action learning to develop your leadership capabilities

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I had already several years of experience in Management. But, working with Reed is Partnership is different as everything is based on the values of the company: We are fair, open and honest, We work together, We take ownership. I learnt as a Business Manager that the lost important is to lead your team in accordance of these values. I’ve learnt how one great leader can in turn create more leaders. I can now see what techniques my manager is using in and why they are using them.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
The programme is very well organized and has a good structure. However, I think that the Paragon Tutor (mentor) should respect the plan and not jumping from one subject to another without completing the first one. This has been time to time extremely confusing. he support of the mentor would have been more efficient
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
My employer is very focused on the development of their higher performer staff. They fully supported me in this apprenticeship, gave me the opportunity to work on the subjects during working hours. I had also weekly meeting with my Business Manager to check my progress and discuss the subjects. They also took a very active part in the research or to help me to complete any project linked with the apprenticeship
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
The support has not always been efficient. Although we had regular face to face or calls meeting, the fact that the feedback were always 100% positive didn't help. This was time to time very frustrating as it was not possible to know what could have been done differently or what could have been improved.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
My training gave ne the knowledge to be a successful Business Manager with Reed in partnership. Being successful in this apprenticeship opened me doors and gave me the opportunity to progress in my career and get a promotion. Using what I learnt during the apprenticeship helped me to grow my Team to a high performer level
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
