Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Dealing with customer queries via phone, email ,help customers complete purchases, upgrades, and returns, and frequently provide advice and technical assistance as well. I am also providing necessary onboard training for the new starters with shadowing and supporting group, sharing best practice, setting the example of living our business values
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

It has been dynamic and interesting journey. My favorite part of it was designed workshops about knowing your customers, leadership styles, and treating the customers fairly. My tutor was very friendly and approachable during the training, providing me with motivation, help and support throughout the apprenticeship, making my experience enjoyable.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

It has really helped me with my day to day job and I have found that my communication skills have improved. I am better in establishing the great communications with our customers, my leadership team and my colleagues I have improved my presentation and communication skills knowledge of the leadership styles, brand vision statement

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

It was very well structured, I had individual remote sessions with my tutor, collective workshops. I have used special programs like BKSB for useful information for courses, I have used BUD to complete the tasks that were checked an assessed by the end of each month by my tutor, [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the Higherin Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions]
How much support do you receive from your employer?

It has been wonderfully arranged:all necessary offline time to do apprenticeship tasks was allocated by planning team in advance. Also, my employee was quite flexible with any ad hoc arrangements for remote catch ups with my tutor , or any workshops. We also were provided with addidtiona help and advice form Learning and Development team of Booking.com
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

It was a great experience form me. I was in touch with my tutor via email /phone and she was replying to all my messages very promptly She was really friendly, motivating and very helpful, especially during my preparation for the End Point assessment. It was a truly fantastic time for me!
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

After my apprenticeship, I feel that my level of expertise is high now and it will have me to leave professional legacy that I can share with my colleagues. Also , I think that this is a great base to put my development planning in place and it will ultimately help me with my career growth
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

During my apprenticeship there were workshops based on Customer Service skills, as well as the the workshops, supporting English and Math study for passing my exams. These classes helped me a lot to prepare for my end point assessment and created the sense of a nice community within m the course content

This a a fantastic place to work, multicultural, multidimensional with great business vision. It is a great company to learn and grow and to make wonderful connections . I hope we will have more chances to learn and progress in the company with more apprenticeship courses to come !Learn Forever!
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Booking.com?
Be openminded and collaborating, bearing in mind that we work in a very complex structure and a lot to be learnt.The onboarding process we have in place works well, with 3 weeks in training, and 2 weeks in gradbay. But 70% of the skills you will obtain during your actual working in the role already.
