Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
TNA provides holistic person centred care and supports nursing staff by bridging the gap between HCA and RGN. TNA recognises limitation of her role and works within the scope of the practice in line with NMC guidelines. Once qualified and registered, NA will become fully accountable professional.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
I am most interested in gaining and developing clinical skills although I do recognise the importance of documentation and communication skills.
The only disappointment was when our program was temporarily suspended.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
Yes, being exposed to different clinical and community placements helped me to develop my existing skills and gained new skills. I have been very well supported which helped me to achieve desired learning outcomes.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
It is very well organised and structured.
Even learning remotely had been positive experience. It’s been well explained to me and well led.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
My employer supported me both in practice and academically.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
I have received plenty of support by doing regular reviews on my progress by highlighting my strengths and weaknesses. I have noticed an improvement in myself.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
I will be able to take more responsibilities and implement my skills in order to provide individualised, safe and efficient service for my patients in line with work policies and the NMC requirements.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
Yes the opportunities are always there. I personally haven’t been involved much but I try to support the events whenever I can.
