Assistant Relationship Manager - My day to day role is speaking to the Relationship Managers and team, I work collaboratively with a team of assistants working collaboratively with product partners such as Mentor, Lombard, etc. I communicate with customers through emails, calls and attend zoom meetings with the Relationship Managers. Providing solutions to customers and making sure they are happy is also a really big part of my role. My job role is customer based, so prospecting is a really important part of it too.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I have really really enjoyed this apprenticeship programme. It has helped me see a different perspective of the world and work life. Overall, I have enjoyed this apprenticeship programme to the fullest extent and will continue to enjoy it.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

So far in the Assistant Relationship Manager role I have gained many skills and developed existing skills too. One skill that I have developed is creativity and problem solving, I have done this while prospecting. Also as speaking to customers is a big part of my role, I have gained a lot confidence to be able to speak comfortably with customers and whenever i meet new people. As this is my first job I have got to physically do given tasks and other day to day activities which helped me gain a lot of skills and experience too.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The apprenticeship programme is extremely well structured and organised. The amount of organisation is impeccable and cant be described any better. I have no worries what so ever about having to know about any future events or activities that will be taking place as I am always updated. If I ever need any help regarding my apprenticeship there is always my coach or someone happy to help.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

My employer is very supportive in anything and everything and I have no worries what so ever regarding this. Whether its to do with my job roles or apprenticeship or anything he is always very supportive and understanding.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I always receive a lot support from my training provider when working towards my qualification and I know I have someone there for me when I need any help or any support. Although they always reach me before I reach them. They are super supportive.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The qualification helps me to understand a certain professionalism and also helps me to understand certain roles in my job better than I already do. The qualification helps me learn and then apply in my day to day activities. I feel that the qualification helps not only me understand my job role better but also other job roles related to mine and around me.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes there are many extra-curicular activities that take place in the bank. There arent many sports events that take place before and after covid but there are many LED- Network events.

Why?
Because NatWest is an amazing place to work where everyone is very hardworking understand and kind. Not only this but there are so many creative people around you all the time that working here is a blast. NatWest helped me to see the world and work in a different way and its just amazing. There is always a hard working team behind a happy customer and little difference.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to NatWest Group?
My advice to others applying to NatWest would be to always look at the bright side of things as there can be many ups and down and being negative isn't going to get you anywhere. A tip is to always keep everything organised and to stay confident.
