To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I currently it interesting to learn through BPP and balancing work responsibilities. In time, I will try to put everything I have learnt into practice, which is starting to be the case, using a communication map to understand how the optimal method of communication with each stakeholder within projects I am and will be part of (New Project Increment in mid May 2026).

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
-Developing ability to using certain programs: Visio to map flowchart of different processes.
-Refining organisational skills: Timeblocking calendar/diary to ensure I complete task(s) within allocated period of time.
-Communication Skills: Becoming more confident in presenting face to face and remotely, learning key communication techniques e.g. Pace, volume, key word mindmap notes instead of detailed notes.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
Apprentice started with a offsite induction in one location, which allowed each of the apprentice the chance to network and connect with other apprentices all across the UK. During those days, we also had the opportunity to hear from people from different parts of the organisation and develop other skills through team building exercises. This first week helped to make me feel more at ease with the new process. Throughout the last 7 months, the early learning team have organised key sessions to get a better idea of the organisation as a whole and with social side face to face across the UK (e.g. social events: bowling) and remotely as well.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
Do receive reasonable support, with my line manager checking in on me on a weekly basis, making adjustments when necessary to ensure I can balance my workload and learning responsibilities. Made several adjustments in coming into office, annual leave and providing supporting in making bookings to locations outside of normal business areas to see other co-working hubs around the UK.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
My training provider: BPP will provide check in with coach every 6 weeks, to check in with my progress and also provide information on what to do e.g. Off the Job Training Log and Submissions. Additionally, the provide drop in sessions on a weekly basis.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
n/a Haven't completed by apprenticeship yet, so don't know.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
Just signed up to be an Apprentice Ambassador, so I will hopefully be involved in events in the future.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend NatWest Group to a friend?
Yes
Why?
I believe that everybody I have worked alongside have the passion to succeed in reaching the Key Performance Indicators, welcoming and friendly culture and chance to meet other areas through networking with apprentices and other opportunities. They help you work towards goals that you want to achieve (e.g. public speaking) and make adjustments when necessary.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to NatWest Group?
Have a eagerness and enthusiasm to get stuck in and be open to opportunities, not to be afraid to get outside your comfort zone. Before the application, try to develop transferable skills (e.g. communication, organisational etc) that will be invaluable in the apprentice position, as they can help to develop your hard skills during the apprenticeship.
