Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

I was in the F and F operations team and my role involved working to see how the operation and customer experience can be improved in stores. I analysed their store concepts and carried out competitor analysis by going on store visits and working with area managers to suggest key changes that F and F could make.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

I was given a lot of autonomy in my project and gained a lot of exposure to the business. The work was meaningful as I had the opportunity to make real changes to the business.

I felt very supported during my placement as I had guidance from my line manager, programme manager, and a buddy. I also had the opportunity to reach out to people from other departments of the business if I wanted to develop myself in other areas.

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

I thoroughly enjoyed my internship and found that it went by so fast. There were many opportunities to get involved in alongside my project and everyone was very supportive.
