Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
My role involves printing out the inpatient list in a morning, going up to the wards to support our patients and co-ordinating care with the registered nurse, working in a multi disaplinary team and feeding back any problems to my line manager/matron in learning disabilities. Its also about making sure hospital passports are filled in so staff know how best to support that patient and making sure our patients are not disadvantaged in any way and reasonable adjustments are made to there care and treatment
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I have enjoyed the programme because i am now able to complete more clinical skills. It has made me less judgemental and has taught me to look at the bigger picture, such as health inequalities and that sometimes people don't always chose to be in a situation there put in. My knowledge is now based around evidence based practice, rather than my own personal views.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
Doing the nurse associate degree it has definetly taught me new skills and how to improve existing ones. It has improved my confidence and ability to preform, and has helped me grow as a professional.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
The programme is very well organised with time tables and assessment calendars for assignment deadlines. The university days are also well presented and the tutors are very knowledgeable about the subject there teaching. Session resources are also available on blackboard to go over again, and example work and assignment brief are also available to help you with your work.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
My employer has supported me well in acheiving up to date training. As well as spending the day with other professionals to receive better knowledge around specialist areas.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
My employer has given me extra time out to be able to complete assignments on time and complete my hours before qualifying, which has been done in own work time.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
My qualification makes me better in my role, as i now understand the theory and anatomy behind why we give that care/treatment.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
there has been well being sessions and walking clubs, as well as nights out organised as part of extra curricular activities.
