Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
I am currently a customer solution analyst, this involves responding to customer queries such as when their order is due or if they are missing a delivery and providing a good customer service. I also make sure their orders are correct and then send them down for delivery. i also process sample orders to send out to customers
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I enjoy it a lot as it keeps me busy and everyone is really supportive when i need them. I really enjoy how the uni weeks are set out, as it gives us some time off from our work duties to focus on the uni work which is really important.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
i have learnt many things whilst on the apprenticeship, i have learnt all the different systems that are used at Nestle to process orders and update orders. I have also developed my Microsoft excel skills and have a better understanding of Microsoft teams and Skype. I have also developed my communication skills as i work closely with customers and members of the team

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
Very organized, we have set weeks that we have off to focus on the university work, and we rotate every year to new roles which is great so we can experience different parts of the supply chain. We also have monthly check ins with our mentors to make sure we are ok and if we are struggling with anything
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I receive a lot of support, we have many things in place to help us if needed, we also have monthly meetings with our mentors. We also have a healthy mind day every 3 months which is really informative and gives you the tools to help yourself if you are struggling
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
I receive a lot of support from the university and they say we can email them anytime regarding the work or even if we feel we are struggling with the work load they are really supportive and give you that extra time you need or will talk with your mentor to see if there is a way we can take the work load of a bit if you are struggling
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
the qualification really relates to the role i am in, which when i have to give examples in my work it makes it easier to explain and relate to the question, which therefore makes my work better. The units also help me understand what is needed from me in order to succeed in the role.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Due to covid there hasnt been many on, but we do have virtual things that go on, the other month we were taught how to make origami, learnt how to bake cakes make pesto. We currently have a step challenge, to see who is getting the most steps in the week.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Nestlé to a friend?
Yes
Why?
Nestle is a huge company known worldwide, i first thought it would be a big team, and would kind of got forgotten about, but that is not the case at all, you get treated the same as any other employee and you are not single out. Everyone is so welcoming and friendly and it has been such a nice environment to work in.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Nestlé?
i would say apply for it! be yourself throughout the process and do your research into Nestle and the tasks that they set for you. i would recommend applying as soon as you see it as i they sometimes take down the application if they have received a large amount. Dont be put off because its a big company, because once your here its great and everyone is so friendly
