Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I will be responsible for the care of patients on a busy acute medicine ward. Giving medications and providing general care.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really really enjoyed this experience a lot more than I expected to, even though it has been more challenging than I expected especially during a global pandemic.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have developed the skills I already had and also gained a new knowledge of the human body and how it works and the treatment of illness and diseases

The programme is very well structured with designated study days and alternative learning opertunities.

The staff on my ward have been very accommodating and helpful.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

The university tutors were always available either by telephone or email even out of hours.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The qualification will enable me to be able to administer medication and take my own bay of patients
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

My ward has its own social page where we arrange get togethers and outings. The trust offers meditation and therapy sessions. There are regular fund raising activities for the trusts charities and an awards ceremony every year.
