Network Engineer Pathway of the Digital Technology Solutions Degree apprenticeship. Roles involves working on the electrical side of the car, validating future vehicles to ensure the networks within the vehicles operate as they should
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

First entry cohort onto the DTS course, work is very enjoyable and varies each day which allows you to be flexible in the types of projects you are working on.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Learnt lots of new skills from work and university - technical and electrical skills are developed through work from internal and external courses as well as working with very skilled individuals

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

University content is structured with pre-defined modules which will be taught each year. Within work you just learn as much as you can while working with colleagues, this is helped by your objectives which are reviewed regularly to ensure you are still developing within the role
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Lots of places to gain support from, very open environment with any issues solved very quickly
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Feedback and support is always there from university in terms of 1:1 wellbeing meetings every couple of weeks as well as support sessions to catch up on any work and ask questions
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Qualification is adhered to the roles that all apprenticeships are on - it is not until 3/4th year where you study your specialism which will be extremely relevant to the role
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Professional networking is pushed upon within the apprenticeship as well as many social events from both the university and employer side
