Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My role as a nursery practitioner is, making sure we are safeguarding our children and making sure we are giving them the best oppertunities within our setting as it is important we give our children our attention at all times. Over completing my level 2 and starting my level 3 within childcare I have learn so much more that I thought was possible, I love every part of my job and would definitely recommend realise for the oppertnitys they have given me.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy my program and the team I work with, I am always able to ask for help if I’m stuck or need an extra day to complete my work, I can always rely on a message back when I’m struggling with a Piece of work.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt different ways to safeguard children, different ways to communicate with children, making sure I’m down on there level, tone of voice and facial expressions. Patience is another one I have learnt a lot when working with young children.
