Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
I provide support to various areas of my department which allows me to further my learning and develop as an individual. As an apprentice, it is vital to learn from those around you and as such, in my day, I will endeavour to get stuck in as much as possible.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I am really enjoying my programme as it is teaching me the fundamentals of a work and office life. Moreover, my department is very welcoming and I am settling in very quickly. In terms of expectations, I would say the firm has surpassed them as I feel accomplished in having an apprentice at such a great firm.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have learnt various new skills from my time as an apprentice. In particular, I have honed my technological skills in using certain software such as Excel, word and powerpoint as well as more advanced software that my department uses. Moreover, I have improved my ability to communicate with those around me.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
In terms of structure, there are areas which could be clearer however again, it is up to the apprentice themselves to communicate and reach out if there are things they do not understand. The induction was exemplary and the training has been excellent so far which will help any apprentice thrive within their environment.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
My employer is extremely helpful by ensuring I stay connected to the team which is crucial especially given the current times. The HR team have been exceptional in getting me set up and completing all administrative work with proper support. Overall, there is a general attitude towards apprentices where its understood that we are here to learn and work, and are on the road to development. This helps ensure that apprentices are treated fairly and with respect.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
I receive a fair amount of work from my training provider who gives out clear instructions and allows significant time to complete whatever task has been given. This allows me to successfully complete whatever work I've been given to the best of my ability. Moreover, I know if I have any issues, I can rely on an answer from the provider.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
The qualification that I will receive is essentially the fundamental structure that I will build my career on. When I am growing and developing my strengths, naturally my career will grow and thus all the skills I learnt will help me perform better in my role for the rest of my career.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
So far, I do not know of any networking events or social activities I can get involved within. However, at the first opportunity that arises, I am excited to get involved with whatever is available. I am an avid football fan and player, so if there is perhaps a football team, I will endeavour to participate.
