Overview of Experience

Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.

This was a really useful experience. Each week, I was given a set number of tasks. I was responsible for managing my time and prioritising in order to complete all the tasks ahead of the deadline. I also had the opportunity to get involved with real client work, including attending a hearing and preparing for a client presentation.

What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?

There were several informative presentations and lots of question-and-answer and networking opportunities.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I completed a number of research tasks using Practical Law. This helped me to develop my research skills. I also gained experience drafting a witness statement, writing a case note, taking notes at a hearing and writing a blog.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

Everyone at the company was incredibly friendly. I received so much support throughout the scheme and everyone was always willing to answer any questions or help me. The working environment is supportive, inclusive and welcoming.
