Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
Depending on what project i am working with this can vary from day to day. Currently i am on a support project so I make changes to the system that the client has when they have been requested and approved
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
It can be very challenging and stressful at times doing a degree and working full time, but the benefits definitely outweigh the drawbacks. We have an excellent support network in our team and have plenty of people to turn to if we need help. Very happy I chose the apprenticeship route.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
Yes definitely learned new skills becoming certified in an area which I am based in. Every day there is somethin new to learn which is one of the best parts of the apprenticeship.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
have regular meet ups with the university to go through the topics we are covering. Plenty of support from the company to help with our studying and regular check ups with manager to see how we are coping with workload.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
Lots of support from reviewer and team manager, both check in regularly to see how things are going and how I am handling workload
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
Employer is very supportive with study leave and days in university. Communication can sometimes be blurred with the university but overall pretty good
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
Some of the topics that we have covered so far have been hard to relate back to work as the team that i am in is fairly niche. However there has been other topics which i have been able to relate to quite well
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
Yes there are plenty of different teams to get involved in, I am currently part of the Rugby team and hoping to get an international fixture against one of the other teams in the company.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Capgemini to a friend?
Yes
Why?
They are very focused around keeping their employees happy and allowing them to express themselves through their work. There is a very good support network and the teams are excellent to work in
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Capgemini?
Honestly, just be yourself.. Capgemini like to look for individuals who are unique and have a different way of thinking sometimes but also like people who are able to get involved in a team environment.
