I work for Alfa power as an business administrator. We provide EV charging stations to the public and private business. For example I need electricity details to be able to move forward with install.

From previous completing a customer service apprenticeship I wasn’t given any time to complete assignment work I had to complete this in my own time however through Babington I was assigned 1 day a week to complete any work that had to be done which helped me keep on track.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have learnt about how to use skills to achieve the best possible outcome and the importanance of my behaviours and how I use this in emails and telephone activities. I have also learned how to be professional at all times and the importance of my body language as I have presented this in my assignment work.

Structure and Support

In my opinion the system that is used being one file version 2 is extremely easy to use as this portrays task that are to be completed as they show as pending. But, when I have work returned form my trainer I’m struggling to locate this on the system to refer back to.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

As the government guidelines have know lifted slightly the opertunity for team buliding has increased to outdoor activities. We are looking at having a sports afternoon for the full team to take part in such as go karting and bowling one evening so we can build as a united team.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Babington to a friend?
Yes
Why?
I would recommend Babington to a friend as I feel like I have been supported through every Avenue I have had to achieve over the last 7 months. The skills and knowledge I have gained whilst in this apprenticeship is more than I would have in a Collins I am first hand experiencing and undertaking the role that Will eventual me my career.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Babington?
The advice I would give is to fullfil the of the job training as much as you can as this wasn’t really explained how important and in-depth this needs to be. I would suggest doing this on a daily basis. I would also suggest that a workshop is provided all on the of the job training as this would prevent people falling behind.
