Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
My day would normally consist of stacking pallets with the products we get in and wrapping them securely and within warehouse guidelines to be sent out to the stores. Along side with slotting up product for the next day on a bulk truck. Making sure I'm signing out all MHE that I use as the day progresses.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I'm really enjoying what I'm doing as I like being active and on my feet and this role is perfect for that. the team I work with are great we all know when the right time is for a laugh but always work hard. It has done now but amaze on how much goes on behind the scenes of a store and I'm learning something new every single day I'm here. I really enjoy it here and the programme is great.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I've learned the importance of health and safety, learned how to drive a LLOP and BULK truck alongside with learning how to stack a pallet or pallets on top of each other with the correct form, learned manual handling. Also developed my social communication skills (Speaking, listening), became more confident. I've learnt the importance of warehouse safety, how to stick to company guideline with pallet stacking and gained some knowledge that goes on in the warehouse environment.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
The programme is well organised in my opinion. The induction was fun as got to meet the people I was going to be alongside with and done my first bit of work. The training I'm receiving and going to be receiving is excellent. The support I'm getting is the best and do everything they can for me to make sure I'm hitting my goals. I fell the programme is well organised and excited to see what the future will bring.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I receive a lot of support from my managers, mentor and colleagues. The access to support is easily accessible if I ever need it. The guidance I receive to problems I have is clear and non confusing. The general attitude towards me and anyone with that needs support is good.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
My training provider makes sure I understand everything and takes me through our work book while giving me examples to make sure I don't get confused on anything and if I do then I can email him or call him with any questions I have.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
What I learn with my training provider I can sometimes relate to in the warehouse. Some of the theory I have learnt I have put into practice in situations I feel is necessary. I definitely know more about my job/position now than from the beginning but everyday I'm learning something new.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Aldi sometimes do competitions on our "My Aldi App" over holiday periods the most recent one being Easter. These competitions consist quiz's but last year our warehouse done a charity football match the raise money for charity. When I'm not working I enjoy going on bike rides, boxing training, football training or playing football for my team (Sheppey Devils).
