Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
My role requires me to work on projects dealing with instances of fraud or error occuring in a company. Tasks on projects like this involves reviewing documents, assisting with interviews, reviewing accounts and creating reports regarding where a company went wrong. Other projects include due diligence projects where we conduct research on companies through the internet and other external applications.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
Prior to joining the programme i had attended university for a year and had left due to not feeling satisfied with what i was doing with my life/career. After leaving and finding my programme i have loved every second of it as i was able to find something i enjoy doing as well as developing my career through exams and progression in the workplace.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have learnt and developed a lot of new skills such as improving my communication skills, developing my public speaking, time management, ability to analyse company's accounts and general ledgers. New skills which i have learnt was project management, presentation skills, report writing and research skills. During the course of the programme i have been able to gain confidence in myself which i view as a skill.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
In terms of career progression i believe the programme is well structured however the programme finds it difficult to put you into placements you would like. Rather they take priority over business needs which was not described in the application process. Apart from this issue, the structure for examinations and progressions is organised well.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
KPMG is really supportive as a whole. They support you with career progression, exam progression and any personal issues which you may encounter. There were instances where a placement was causing me immense stress and my programme team worked hard to find me something which was better suited for my mental health.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
My training provider provides a lot of support with regards to my qualification. They have provided me with a coach who helps me plan my revision around work as well as referring me to tutors when i struggle learning some content. They also provide free of charge classes to students so they are able to ask questions relating to exams.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
They provide me with career targets as well as advice for things i can improve on. They have calls with me every 6 months to see how i am getting along and if i need and help with career advise. We get given training as well to complete, these training include British values etc.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
