Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
I am required to look after 1300 accounts across the UK. I also look after and Deal reg and pricing escalations for these account and help accelerate / support opportunities where I can in the best way possible. By doing this it allows me to engage with partners on a day to day basis.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I really do enjoy the programme I am on at HPE. I enjoy the role / job I am in, team I work with, I love the HPE culture. The people I work with are great, so much support offered. This is definitely better than I could have imagined. Would highly recommend it.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
Since my time at HPE, I believe I have developed existing skills, communication being a a key one. In my role communication is key whether you are talking to a fellow colleague or interacting with a partner communication is vital and you need to ensure you are all on the same page and have the same understanding.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
I believe the programme is structured really really well, when I began my HPE journey we had blocked weeks in Manchester at the HPE Manchester office to welcome us on board and give us a bit of an introduction to the company. Since circumstances changing due to COVID 19 and unable to travel that did not seem to faze the programme and we were still able to do the the things we missed virtually.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I receive so much support here at Hewlett Packard Enterprise. Any one in the team is more than happy to offer support when required. I have regular team calls, 1 to 1 meetings with my manager. As well as this I have regular catch up calls with people from the HPE apprenticeship programme to check in how I am getting on etc.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
I have received so much support from Pareto when working towards my qualification. We have our training courses which usually take place monthly. As well as this we have all been assigned a skills coach who helps provide support when / if we need it. We usually have monthly catch ups with our skills coach.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
I feel my qualification definitely helps me perform better in my role. I come to HPE with no previous IT / Sales experience whatsoever. Everything I know now I have learnt through my time here at HPE. The training sessions that Pareto offer really do help and all relatable to our working scnearios
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
At HPE there are lots of extra curricular activities to get involved in. It is slightly different now due to working from home however HPE still offer activities such as Yoga classes via zoom, social connections on zoom where you can expand you network and speak to other HPE employees who you possibly never met before. As well as offering fun games e.g Family Fortunes etc

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Hewlett Packard Enterprise to a friend?
Yes
Why?
I would definitely recommend HPE to a friend because it is a great place to work, great colleagues / team, with an amazing culture. HPE are really passionate about the wellbeing of their employees. Since working from home they sent little parcels / packages with supplies and motivational boosters inside. I have never worked for such an amazing company.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Hewlett Packard Enterprise?
For anyone applying for Hewlett Packard Enterprise my only advice that I can offer is just be yourself. As well as this ask as many questions as possibly can. Everyone here at HPE is really nice and friendly. As I mentioned earlier this is a company with an amazing culture.
