To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

When undertaking job specific tasks the job role can be very rewarding, and the ability to attended and repair breakdowns/maintenance tasks is very enjoyable. However, the other side of the apprenticeship, being pulled onto menial tasks, and sometimes the lack of support can make the program frustrating.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes -continuously learning, due to the challenges that are face on a daily bases. Also the position allows for extra learning/qualifications outside of the job role. Sometime however during the shift as an apprentice you were pulled from meaningful work to undertake menial tasks of no benefit.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

Educationally the apprentice setup when I went through it was very good, the college/ theory supported the work based learning and structure. However onsite sometimes the structure was lacking and apprentices were left to find learning opportunities on their own, which at times was difficult.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

The support varies by department and line manager as some were more supportive than others, sometime the lack of structure in terms of work place learning as an apprentice meant that it didn't feel the support was there at times. However when you pushed for it, you often found opportunities and support was there
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Training provider offered a lot of support and repeatedly came to site to observe and fill out our portfolio. They often gave guidance on career opportunity and life workplace skills that could benefit your career.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The knowledge gained definitely helped to understand some of the complexities of the role. Which would make dealing with issues and learning about them easier.

Why?
The apprenticeship now isn't thesame as what I wentthrough and the qualifications aren't to the same standard. There's a culture at nestle that suits certain people better than others, and that can lead to its detriment, if the qualifications werethe same then my answer would be different
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Nestlé?
Ensure you push for everything, the more keen you are to learn the further you will go, the people are there to educate you and you need to find them. Listen to your colleagues and learn as much as you can. Take notes and always push for extra opportunities
