Acquisition and in-depth analysis of forensic evidence collected from a
range of devices and operating systems
● Daily use of industry standard digital forensic tools such as:
○ Encase Investigator
○ Nuix Workstation and Investigate (Formerly Web Review)
○ Magnet Forensics Axiom
○ FTK Imager
○ BlackLight
○ Autopsy
● Communicated with customers to explain and update on forensic
investigations
● Authored forensic reports to provide detailed technical break-downs of our
investigations

Yes, I was treated as if I was a full employee and was expected to do the work of one, and was not treated as a student. It was refreshing to be treated as if I was an actual employee and not just given busy work.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
Everyone was immensely friendly, there were no unpleasant people I ever encountered. They cultivated a friendly attitude, often poking fun at each other with banter.

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
I thoroughly enjoyed the placement - I gained an opportunity to learn so much through real world experience and honestly learnt more in 10 months than I did in my previous 2 years of university. I enjoyed making new friends and learning new things.
