Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
I have worked both in the development and post-approval space on a range of products. The main task has been supporting regulatory submissions. On a day to day basis this has involved participating in team meetings and working autonomously as well as part of a larger team.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Lots! A lot more than I was expecting. You are supported throughout but are responsible for meaningful tasks for the business. During my placement, I led projects and team meetings.

Aside from gaining technical knowledge and training I have developed lots of my soft skills such as communication, in particular giving presentations.

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
I received lots of support and guidance throughout my placement which was particularly helpful in the virtual setting. Aside from regular 1:1s with my line manager, there was other regular check ins from HR and colleagues who were responsible for running the wider placement scheme.

The application is quite long and opens quite early in comparison to other similar companies so keep an eye out and start working on it as soon as it opens.
