Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
During the apprenticeship, I had roles in Commercial Rights, Marketing and Audiences and Leadership Development. These included writing contracts, analysing the performance or television programmes and designing and co-ordinating leadership programmes.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
The programme was challenging, undertaking an accelerated degree and a job 4 days a week was tough but it was so worth it. I met a bunch of brilliant peers who supported me along the way. The work experience we obtained was incredible and I am so thankful.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
My confidence developed hugely throughout the apprenticeship. Moving around the BBC enabled me to adapt to change and build my resilience. I also developed skills such as co-ordination, organisation, public speaking, facilitation, learning design and data analytics skills.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
The programme was very well structured, although at times the organisation lacked from an administrative point of view.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
I received a lot of support from my placement line managers and from my tutors at university.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
I received a lot of support from my tutors in terms of my assignments. When we had a problem, they were always escalated and sorted out. The tutors were friendly and helped us with our job hunts too.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
We wrote research projects on our placement departments which enabled us to learn more about the department and to increase our visibility in the department. It enabled us to prompt change and improvement.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
Lots of activites, Next Generation Committees, Green clubs, staff networks, quiz evenings and I went on many social outings with my cohort.
