Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
I am given a lot of responsibility throughout the roles that I have. Throughout the 4-5 years, we rotate in the business every 6 months to different areas of the business to learn new skills and about the business.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
Joining GE was one of the best things I could have done. Learning on the job whilst being paid gives you a massive advantage in life.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
Yes. I have learned alot of soft skills such as communication and leadership skills. This will help to mold me into a leader/manager in my later career.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
We've had a few issues at the beginning, but now everything is smoothed out. We have communication from the business itself with changes and also from our manager.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
If you need support or have any issues, everyone is really happy to support you. Whether its personal or at work. GE have many protocols which you can follow and support online, such as leaflets etc. There's mental health awareness days and also trained employees.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
The business is really keen to grow the apprenticeship scheme. We are allowed to use 4 hours a week for our uni work when we don't have a uni day. Everyone asks how the uni side of things are going which is really encouraging.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
From our uni days and also team building activity days. This will help to mold us into leaders and support people in our teams.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
Yes, there's sports events, womens network, Stem projects, volunteering projects, and green belt training.
