Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
3/5
General operations and efficiency management involving everyday problem solving and continuous improvement.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
The programme has been an eye opening experience into how large opportunities run. I have enjoyed the fast paced environment it brings, however it naturally comes with its difficult days and situations.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Increased ability to communicate on all levels with both the shop floor and the senior managers. Its provided experience that gets you comfortable with managing your own workload and taking accountability.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
2/5
The Operations Degree programme was potentially less structured than any other apprenticeship on offer. People often found that as an operations apprentice they didn't know what it was we were supposed to be doing. On the other hand, this forced us to take charge of our own development.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
3/5
On this apprenticeship there are a lot of stakeholders to help you and support you. However, sometimes these stakeholders clash when they have differing opinions for your development.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
The university is very good at allowing us to apply our learning to the organisation which really improves our understanding.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
The qualification backs up a lot of processes the site has in place which can be directly compared. The programme also covers elements of business that will not be seen in my area of work, but provides clarity on how all functions come together.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
1/5
No.

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Nestlé?
Nestle is a fast paced environment, so you have to be really good at adapting to every situation.
