As Senior Systems Operational Manager, I take ownership of service capability and change management to support Homeland Security Group 3-tier IT operations in the Home Office. As departmental Security Lead, I take responsibility for assuring security knowledge and capability within Homeland Security Group
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

My trainer is really helpful and gives me the support I need. Also, the workshops are scheduled before we are required to start the assignment. This gives a good overview of what we need to know and how to prepare.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt new skills and also developed new skills. I've also learnt about my management style, how my team responds to that and what I need to aspire to as well as steps to take to fulfil my aspiration.

The program is well structured in the sense that you get support from the trainer, workshop and online materials

I spend 20% of my week days on my apprenticeship. Sometimes work pressure may prevent me from doing this but my employer is understanding and allows me to take time off when I need it.
