Work Experience Review

My knowledge about professional services was furthered at MMC. I learnt about the four companies that form MMC, such as Marsh, who are a global insurance broker, with data driven risk solutions, and Guy Carpenter, who provide strategic advisory services, and offer reinsurance. There was a case study involving a client who needed insurance for a piece of artwork. This developed my client management skills, and furthered my analytical and problem-solving skills, such as identifying risk and costs. Also, there were presentations delivered on interpersonal skills, which helped me and also gave me an insight into how professional relationships are conducted, in order for business transactions to be successful.

The hosts were great as well, and the guest speakers delivered engaging and thought-provoking presentations to the group.

As I mentioned before, I applied for an apprenticeship and I now have a digital interview, so who knows, I may end up working at MMC.
