Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

On a daily basis I work with my team to monitor and maintain a range of different funds within the wider teams portfolio. This includes analysing data and tracking the performance of this. I work closely with a range of different teams to ensure that this process is smooth and effective.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoy my role. Before starting my role I had little knowledge in the field but since joining both my team at M&G and BPP have provided me with all the resources I need to further develop, which in turn helps widen my responsibilities. This role has more than met my expectations.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have developed so many skills. The main ones include my skills on excel, working closely within a team and improving on my communication skills. All these skills are essential in my role and since joining the team I work constantly to improve these. An example of this is I can now use a range of different excel formulas which I didn't know before
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme is extremely organised. I know when I have webinars, myself and my line manager both recognise when my study time needs to be, meaning I get the full benefit. My coach is always on hand to help me out which makes my progression a lot smoother. I wouldn't change the process.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

M&G have provided me with so much support throughout. I always get the guidance I need and my team help me to ensure that any queries I may have get met. I never have any worries as I know my concerns will be addressed. If I do need guidance then this is always given.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

My coach is always on hand to offer me support, which helps ensures any concerns I may have are addressed. As well as this he is extremely support. I have regular tutor sessions who are able to support and guide me throughout, as well as answering any further questions I may have.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The programme is tailored to the role I am in, which means I am able to learn different aspects and apply this within my role. As well as this the course progresses in a specific manner which means that when completing coursework I have had webinars which have already provided me with these skills. I have already used a range of things within my role which I have learnt through BPP.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Within my team we have regular quizzes. This gives the team the opportunity to interact in a less formal setting. I really enjoy these as it allows me to get to know everyone better. As well as this we get involved in volunteering which allows us to give back to the community and again get to know each other better.

Why?
Since joining M&G I have recognised the great culture which is provided. When working at M&G I feel supported and know that I am surrounded by people who want the best for me. As well as this the company have provided me with such great exposure to training which has helped my progression within this corporate environment.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to M&G plc?
M&G is definitely a great place to work. Throughout the whole application process I was supported and given all the skills and training that I needed to set me up for successes. As well as this the support doesn't stop once you join, I am constantly supported and provided with opportunities to grow and develop.
