I’m a reception team leader which involves leading a team to deliver excellent guest experience. Making sure that everyone staying with us is happy with the service and the experience with us. Making sure all food and consumable orders are placed in a timely manner and we are fully stocked with everything we need.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I really enjoyed the programme I was on as I felt very well supported by both my manager and assessor. I was learning a lot of new skills relating to my department and it’s helped me to establish that hospitality and management are definitely the right avenues for myself when it comes to my career.

Skills Development

during my time on apprenticeship i have picked up many new skills in terms of leading a team, staying on top of health and safety, risk assessments, budgets and spending. I have also built on my skills in the management department having been given more responsibilities as my knowledge has grown.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The program is very well structured as it covers so many different areas of working in the hospitality industry and management. It’s split up in to a number of modules to make it easier and more structured to work through. Also my assessor was very understanding and flexible when it came to meetings.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive a great amount of support from my employer. I was given hours during work in which to complete any modules or tasks I had to do. I found my manager very approachable and massively helpful when it came to learning about management tasks or needing any questions answering.

5/5
The support I received from my assessor from lifetime was great. I could contact her at any time with questions and she would always get back to me promptly and was very flexible when it came to scheduling meetings. And she was super helpful with any queries I had. If she didn’t know she would find out.
