Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
- Creating/uploading posts to Pfizer's UK social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube).
- Writing and uploading articles to Pfizer's UK website.
- Collecting a summary of weekly Corporate Affairs updates to send out to colleagues.
- Monitoring analytics and moderating comments from social media channels.
- Meeting regularly with wider teams such as Corporate affairs and External communications in order to collaborate on projects and have better understanding of what they're doing as although we are in different teams, our work is very interconnected with each other.
- Monitoring the Pfizer UK website to make sure that all information is up to date, accurate and correct.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
I was given a great deal of responsibility during my placement year. I was shocked by the amount of trust I was given by my team and the big projects I was able to lead on.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
There is a great company culture. At Pfizer, they are very big on work/life balance and flexible working, so there is no pressure to all work in the same way as one another. It is all about what works best for you. Similarly, there is no formal dress-code, you wear what you feel comfortable in.

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Pfizer and I am sad to see it come to an end. I have been able to learn so many valuable skills and grow my confidence.
