Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
On a day to day basis my job is to help families who have lost a love one to arrange their funeral. From helping with paperwork to being their as support. I work with a range of people from Council workers, Doctors, Cremation staff, cemetery staff, Ministers and our teams within our company. Helping families to give their loved one the perfect goodbye.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt lots of new skills doing this job. From how to work with so many different organisations to dealing with a grieving family. How to arrange all aspects of funerals and how to fill out all the legal paperwork.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
Very well organised. Even with a pandemic going on. It was structured so you learnt the right things at the right time of your journey.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I received a lot of help. From all different departments. If i needed to find out about anything i could ring someone or email them and they would be more than happy to help me in anyway they could.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
A lot! They really help you every step of the way. They encourage you and help you in anyway they can.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
it has really helped me feel like I am now a funeral arranger. If I ever don't remember anything i can look back on my notes and I know I will be able to find what I need to know.
I feel like I know so much more about the funeral industry now. I had never worked in this industry before and know I feel confident carrying out my job.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
We do a lot on community work. It is easy to get involved in that. You will also be fully supported if you wish to do something for your community.
