Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
3/5
My role is to work on a work line on different stations across work to deliver medical instruments to hospitals. The responsibility I have is to make sure what I do is assembled correctly as that could result in an instrument failure which delays how many products we get out.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I enjoy my program and feel like I am making progress at college. The work team I am around are supportive and are willing to support you with anything you need/struggle with.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
3/5
Yeah, I have developed some skills using basic tooling and learn't more on what the different instruments across work do and the functions of them. Learned more on my college course on health and safety and different mechanical assemblies. I feel like I have learned more at college.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
My Program could of been more structured as to times where I should be moving stations and learning new things but overall has been good. I have time to do all my training and college work which is very good.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
I have great support from my manager, mentor as I have a guidance on what I am doing and they have a great attitude to support what I am doing.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
Overall, great support. If i have any problems, I feel like I can always ask and get good guidance.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
I feel like it does have a good effect for performance through work, college does help for learning the general work behaviours and helps me with the tooling.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
Yes, there is events happening at work, not really at the moment due to covid-19 but events such as mountain climbing and football events happen at work. Also lots of events for training for what you need to know working for siemens.
