Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
As a Business Analyst it is all about investigating business situations, identifying and evaluating options, defining requirements and ensuring the effective use of systems. on a daily basis it is all about conducting research and analysis in order to come up with solutions to business problems and help to introduce these systems to businesses and their clients. this varies from workshops to capture what is needed or what is not already there, to writing up all requirements needed for an upcoming project.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
i enjoy my apprenticeship a lot due to the fact that no 2 projects will ever be the same and even when you think that you have got everything accounted for and covered, there is always something that will change and pop up. i also enjoy the fact that although most of what i do affects customers and people within the business, external factors are often taking into consideration therefore things will always be changing.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
Due to the role as well as having that business knowledge and understanding of what is needed to be done, people skills and communication are skills that have been put to the test especially in time such as covid where you can't grasp people's emotions or true meanings over a zoom call. Also all analytical and decision making skills are put to the test every single day.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
My programme is very well organised due to the fact that i have that support and structure from AssistKD. with AssistKD as well there is the opportunity to pass several other courses giving added qualifications to yourself. Therefore, in addition the the apprenticeship completion those extra qualifications are there.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
a lot as i have frequent 1-2-1's with my manager as well as other colleagues at different stages in their careers. as well as this meetings weekly with the Business Analysis team.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
You have access to the content a long time before the exam as well as then a few days course where the content is all run through with practice questions and any answers that you may have can be answered.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
having that added knowledge of a process or model away from how the business perceives it or specific to that role is really helpful as i can gain that knowledge alongside the business understanding.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
i joined in lock-down and we still are so i feel as if i can't comment much on this however there was a nice awards ceremony on before Christmas over teams as well as a little quiz and different things like that.
