Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
My typical week would be begin a Monday in the office doing my usual work, this could be on site carrying out a survey, or in the office running some calculations and marking up drawings and creating Tender packages or whatever is required for clients, aswell as working Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, i attend Forth Valley College on a Tuesday, this is where i gain my degree and knowledge.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I highly recommend my programme to all and at any opportunity I get I never fail to brag about it and talk highly about it, I feel like it is something more people should be aware of as it is an amazing opportunity.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I would say i have expanded on my communication skills as i tend to meet new people on the job everyday. My timekeeping skills have also improved as there is always a deadline to meet in the workplace and college. I have learned to take responsibility and become more independent in the work place.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
I have a mentor in the work place and a mentor/business partner in the college so I always feel like I am taken care of, I would say this is a good example of my programme being structured well because if I ever have any problems whether it be the work place or college then I have 100% support.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
My manager gives me a lot of support in the work place and with college, my manager likes to stay in the loop with my workload and college to make sure i have a healthy balance between the too. I have an annual review from my employer, this is where my progress is tracked in depth but majority of the time they check up on me.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
Having a mentor/business partner in place at the college makes me feel more comfortable in knowing i have the most support i can receive, the lectures in the college are very supportive to aswell as the curriculum manager.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
When in the work place it is very hands on and sometimes i feel i am in the deep end (in a good way) and in college it is more just everything i do explained in depth, my college training doesn't always tie in with my everyday work but it is somewhat relevant.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
WE are given many opportunities in our work place, i am part of a Health and Well Being Centres of Excellence team, all the apprentices take part in events over the course of the years, i recently participated in a Apprentice Challenge (i won the first year), apart from that there are CPD's that we tend to carry out monthly that we can gain more knowledge from.

The environment in the workplace is always great and friendly making the days better, TB+A care and show that they care about their employees, not to mention all the great benefits involved, one being that they pay for your gym membership.
