Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My job role involves helping out people around the surgery with any IT issues that they have and troubleshooting them to resolve the issue. I Also do the scanning on a daily basis that involves scanning external and internal letters onto patient records.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I do enjoy the programme that i am doing, the workplace is a great place to work with the team being an amazing and welcoming group; the place exceeded my expectations.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt some new skills and adapted and added onto the ones that i came into the apprenticeship with; i believe that i have furthered myself in many areas by undertaking external and internal training.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

The induction was useful and the training i have received has brought me up to speed with how everything works within the surgery and what to do when things don't go to plan. My manager is supportive and we help each other in aspects of our work as we work as a team to get technical issues sorted.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I feel well supported from my employer and that i can rely on them if i needed to, with working with my manager we have both sorted out any issues that arise and support each other in troubleshooting issues.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

The training provider is helpful for helping me work towards my apprenticeship qualification. The assessor is there to talk to and is open to supporting me through the apprenticeship and any questions that i may have.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I have learnt a few things from while working through my qualification however i am unsure that it has helped me to perform better in my job role. I feel competent within the job role with the qualification being a milestone that i am working towards most of the things in the apprenticeship i already have knowledge and practice of.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There isn't a great deal of extra-curricular activities to get involved in at work, there is the christmas event i have heard about but nothing more than that. Weather this is due to covid i am unsure but i think it will be the same after the loosening of restrictions

Yes
Why?
They are a supportive employer and a great place to work. The job can be challenging that is great at times and i would recommend them.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to NHS?
When applying to the nhs keep professionalism in mind, it is essential to keep sensitive data safe and confidentiality is a major header; anything you see on site stays on site. Be yourself too, it is the best way to make a connection with your interviewers and ask them questions too.Show interest.
