Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
I work within the Structured Solutions - helping with research risks of shares within well known companies. I have had to give a macro summary of US and Asian markets twice weekly. I have had to do lots of excel work including reports that are sent out weekly. I have had to work with VBA macros and submitted prices daily.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes and no - it varied within each team I worked in. It was just the right amount of responsibility as I think anymore would have put too much pressure on my work.

I have learnt how to use excel and VBA macros. Additionally I have learnt so much more about the world of finance and how to network with people.

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
I really enjoyed my time at MUFG. I learnt so much from it and overall it was a great experience. One of my favourite things was the people. Everyone was so nice and welcoming. I feel I have learnt the most in the last few weeks than I ever have in my studies.

Yes
What advice would you give to others applying to MUFG
Give the application your all. It is worth it and it is a great company. I would say don't stress about what team you are in as it is all so interesting.
